An exciting way to uncover media messages!

Prevention Works Art and Media Awareness Program has designed a complementary training suitable for middle, junior and high school  students. The Youth Awareness Media Literacy Training is a 45 minute interactive curriculum focused on analyzing and deglamorizing the promotion of alcohol, tobacco, other drug, and violence in the media outlets. The training intends to help students understand social norms and perceptions by examining the impact media messages and advertising strategies have on young audiences. The training prepares students to think critically and to make smart and healthy choices in everyday life.
